Giussano è una raccolta di testimonianzetra Brescia e Bergamo di giovani militanti di"Lega Nord". La forte presa di questo partito-movimento trova le sue motivazioni in aspetti antropologici e culturali piuttosto che politici; in una iconografia forte, che rimarca un'identità popolare che va sempre più estendendosi. Giussano is a collection of stories by young members of “Lega Nord” from Brescia and Bergamo. |

The strong approval of this party-movement has its roots in anthropological and cultural aspects, more than political ones; in a strong iconography, which emphasizes an ever-growing popular identity. Pontida, Alberto da Giussano, il Sole delle Alpi, la polenta, sono tutti elementi che allo stesso modo pesano sulla determinazione antropologica dei lombardi. Pontida, Alberto da Giussano, the Sun of the Alps, the polenta, all these are elements that are important for the anthropological definition people from Lombardia. Attraverso tre atti (territorio, simbologia e immigrazione), come in un blues, si delinea il manifesto di un nord che non si sente italiano, teatro di una cultura moderna e conservatrice dell'immediato presente. Through three acts (territory, symbolism and immigration) like in a blues, the manifesto of a north that doesn’t feel Italian is underlined, theatre of a modern and conservatory culture of the immediate present. We looked for a road other than the media, other than the retrogravure of internet, drawing a profile, letting the “giovani padani” outline it. |

NOTE DI REGIA L'idea di base è quella di contrapporre alle interviste il mondo esterno, una Lombardia che va avanti nonostante lo stato di allarme perpetrato dagli intervistati, città dove la multietnicità, già in atto da diverso tempo, è pensata come un rischio e viene definita “invasione”. Il leghista cerca i suoi archetipi nella storia e rivendica un'indipendenza a trecentosessanta gradi, un'autonomia che va dalla cultura agli usi e costumi, attraverso l'economia. DIRECTOR'S NOTES The documentary is made by precise style decisions like the absence of a narrative voice and a still camera during the interviews. We let the interviewed feel at ease, free to express themselves, without interrupting them or responding to them; the editing drives the story, the only tool that allows to give the public a true, realistic point of view where an anthropologically founding attitude of separate logic emerges. The main idea is to oppose the interviews to views of the outside world, in a Lombardia that carries on even in an allarmed state, perpetrated by the interviewed. A city where multiethnicity, already underway, is seen as a risk and is called “invasion”. The “leghista” looks for archetypes in history and claims an all-round indipendence, an autonomy that goes from customs and traditions to economy |
