La situation est claire (The Situation is clear), è stato girato in Francia, a Parigi, nel giugno del 2007.Il soggetto nasceva da un viaggio compiuto insieme a Jerome Walter Gueguen, co–regista e produttore del film, con una vecchia Peugeot 205, che chiamavamo bagnole.
La Situation est Claire, was shot in France, in Paris, in June 2007. The subject was created during a trip with Jerome Walter Gueguen, co-director and producer of the film, with an old Peugeot 205 that we used to call bagnole.
From Paris to the Atlantic Ocean, and then to the south, in the French Basque region, to Toulouse, during the clashes for the election of French Prime Minister Sarkozy.
Da Parigi fino all’Oceano Atlantico e poi a sud, nei paesi baschi francesi, a Tolosa, durante gli scontri per l’elezione del premier Sarkozy.
Salimmo sulla nave a Royan per attraversare la Gironda, su quella nave il tempo si era fermato. Arrivati dall’altra parte, Sarkozy aveva vinto, e la terra intorno aveva cambiato sembianze, les landes, una terra di banditi e di silenzio oceanico, si estendeva di fronte a noi, fino alla Dune de Pylat, dove dormimmo.Il tema del film è senz’altro la comunicazione, il clash comunicativo, lo scontro di codice di consumo e linguaggio, nella città postmoderna.
Ambientato tra centri commerciali e quartieri fieristici e con la partecipazione di Ariane Ortiz Gaudeax come attrice e voce narrante, mettemmo in gioco direttamente i nostri corpi, le nostre voci, i nostri spostamenti, per trovare di fatto il film nella strada, senza quasi interagire su di esso.
Alcune sequenze sono state per noi un manifesto di quello che forse ancora non comprendevamo interamente essere il principio di Arte – Vita, senza confine.La situation est claire è stato girato con il supporto del dipartimento cinema dell’università Diderot Paris 7, con la partecipazione del professor Pierre Simon Gutman, presentato in varie occasioni in diverse capitali europee come film di riferimento per l’estetica del gruppo Caucaso, all’interno del progetto Shooting Postmoderno.
We get on the boat in Royan to cross the Gironde, on this boat time had stopped. When we arrived on the other side, Sarkozy had won, and the lands had changed. Les landes, a land of outlaws and oceanic silence, outstretched in front of us until the Dune de Pilat, where we slept. The topic of the film is surely communication, the communicative clash, the clash between the Consumer Code and language, in the post-modern city.
Set in shopping centres, exhibition centres, with acting and narration performance by Ariane Ortiz Gaudeaux, we used our bodies, our voices and our movements to try and find the film of the street, almost without interacting with it.
Some sequences have been for us, while we still had not fully understood it, a manifesto about what is the principle of Art – Life without borders. La situation est claire was shot with the support of department of cinema of the university Diderot Paris 7, with the participation of professor Pierre Simon Gutman, presented in several occasions in various European capitals as a reference-film on the aesthetic of Caucaso group, inside the project Shooting Postmoderno.
